ERPNext for a US luxury door and wood-panelling manufacturer: custom product configuration, BOM and production planning, project-based orders, purchasing and costing.

Problem

Vedani Mobili builds bespoke interior, impact and pivot doors plus wood panelling to order. Every job is custom, so quotations, material planning, production and job costing were tracked separately and margins per project were guesswork.

Solution

I implemented ERPNext around make-to-order manufacturing: item variants and configurable product attributes, multi-level BOMs and routings, work orders driven from sales orders, purchase planning against material requirements, and project-wise costing that shows the real margin per job.

Challenges
